This week’s theme is… anything! One of the suggestions was a playlist, which I thought would be fun, but my trilogy playlist is 10 1/2 hours long. So I pulled out the songs that fit The King’s Paladin, specifically, to share with you. The shortened playlist is still 3 hours, but a lot of that is instrumental, and I’ll only be sharing the lyrical songs here, along with brief descriptions of how I think they fit. Without further ado, the music! Continue reading “The Shared WIP Tag – Week 5: Bonus Party!”
As I’m prepping to write this post, I’m realizing I haven’t kept y’all here on the blog updated on Slander & Steel‘s progress. Slander & Steel is the new title for The Heart of the Baenor, if y’all remember that. It’s a book I’ve been working on editing over the past several months. (You can read more about it here.) I ran a Kickstarter campaign in August while it was with beta-readers and I did a bad job of it–both the setup of the campaign and the promotion of it–and my editing stalled out in September, BUT now I’m coming back Continue reading “Slander & Steel Giveaway!”
So y’all, I totally intended to finish Preptober Prompts, but I just could not get all of the flash fictions done in time. Still, if you participated in Preptober Prompts I’d love to hear what you thought of it! Is it worth bringing back next year?
This month I’ll be participating in Julian Daventry’s Shared WIP Tag, which is all about NaNoWriMo projects. Each Friday I’ll get to answer a bunch of questions about my NaNoWriMo project, and I’ll link to the other participants’ posts at the end. :) Continue reading “The Shared WIP Tag – Week 1: General Questions”
Lately I haven’t written a lot as far as my novel goes, nor have I edited anything in the past week (that’s something I need to fix this week), but a friend of mine made a list of writing prompts and I’ve written a couple of short stories. I think my favorite is this first one, Sonder. Enjoy. :)
I walk against the crowd, shoulders slumped and collar up against the rain. I bump into someone every two seconds, but in a city like this no one cares. Unless they do. But I think those people are just having a bad day and need someone to yell at. That happens a lot in this city, I think. There’s a lot Continue reading “Short Story Sunday: Sonder”
I’m sorry this is going up later than usual. I’ve been off my game with almost everything this week. :P Things should smooth back out next week, and I have a fun announcement set to go up next Tuesday!
Kaitlyn is another The Shades and the Elect character, a friend of Madi and Braedyn‘s, and she’s simultaneously fun and terrifying. (At least in RPs.) She’s a daredevil, practically fearless, and loves bringing her friends on her adventures. She’s also fiercely competitive and will about kill you in soccer. Enjoy her interview. :) Continue reading “Character Interview: Kaitlyn Walker”
