Worldbuilding Resources
The Worldbuilding Toolbox is my “starter kit” worldbuilding course. It focuses on what makes worldbuilding effective, the core skills that underlie the process, and methods for organizing your world’s information so you can make practical use of it when writing. It’s designed to help you find and fill in the areas where the foundation of your world–and your worldbuilding system–is weak, so that you can develop a world that you love, that supports your story, and that gives your readers more than just a pretty backdrop.
The Worldbuilders Guild is designed to guide you through the principles, tips, and lessons that will equip you to master worldbuilding; as well as to offer a community of worldbuilders who have the same goals you do, authors who can get invested in your world alongside you so that you can begin to share your world with others in a constructive environment.
Editing Services
As a line editor and proofreader, I am passionate about helping authors to polish their writing so that readers can focus on the story instead of on the words on the page. I seek to trim down on the number of reviews saying, “This had great potential, but…” and help your story stand out as a quality piece of work.
With line edits, I will work at roughly sentence level and tackle any issues that might make your story unwieldy or hard to read. This includes cleaning up info dumps, drawing out description, making sure word choice is effective, and fixing sentence structure. I will also point out consistency issues and other small details to help make your novel as cohesive as it can be.
“Technical edits” tackle grammatical and spelling errors. This is the finishing touch on your manuscript, where I will help you pick out any pesky typos you might have missed.
