Character Interview: Charette Audrian
Charette is an Elf from Shae-Nir, Kaloris, but she lives in the capital of the country, Cron Hatal, because she doesn’t care much for Shae-Nir’s values and she much prefers the company of humans with less of a moral code. The phrase “femme fatale” fits her rather well.
Charette: *takes a seat and elegantly crosses her legs* Hello.
Interviewer: Hello. How are you today?
Charette: Fine. How are you?
Interviewer: I’m fine. Shall we get started?
Charette: *nods once*
Interviewer: What is your name?
Charette: Charette Russe Audrian.
Interviewer: How old are you?
Charette: Twenty-five.
Interviewer: Do you have any siblings?
Charette: Not anymore. I left my family behind.
Interviewer: You care about them that little?
Charette: *shrugs* They believe the same things as all the other Elves. They’re narrow-minded and I was stifled with them. They never understood me, I never understood them, so it wasn’t too hard to leave. *she glances at the floor for a moment, then back at him* May we return to the script?
Interviewer: *nods* What’s your job?
Charette: Whatever circumstances require. Most people call me a spy. I say I’m more of a shapeshifter.
Interviewer: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Charette: *smirks a bit* Like I said, I’m a shapeshifter.
Interviewer: What is your favorite food?
Charette: Chocolate.
Interviewer: Favorite color?
Charette: True blue.
Interviewer: What is your favorite book?
Charette: Ildren and Miara.
Interviewer: What is your favorite animal?
Charette: Cats.
Interviewer: What are your hobbies?
Charette: Singing. Other than that, I like to mingle with the crowds and observe.
Interviewer: Which of these is most important to you: Kindness, intelligence, or bravery?
Charette: Intelligence.
Interviewer: And honesty or selflessness?
Charette: Honesty.
Interviewer: As a shapeshifter, couldn’t people consider you dishonest?
Charette: *smirks* Many do. You asked me which one I considered more important, not whether or not I truly value them.
Interviewer: I suppose that’s true. What do you value, then?
Charette: Intelligence and cunning.
Interviewer: Is there something you can never leave the house without?
Charette: A tube of lipstick. *she wears a slight smirk*
Interviewer: That was the last question. Thank you for your time.
Charette: Of course. *she’s still faintly smirking as she glides out*
When I saw the title of this post, I was like, “Oooh!” And I read it, and it did not disappoint me. I figured she’d pick intelligence. And the tube of lipstick is not surprising. And cats are also not that surprising, though I possibly could’ve seen it as being a tiger.
