At the beginning of The Shadow Raven, Alastair is Nissa‘s boss. I’m trying to make him the main antagonist of that particular book, but so far I’m having trouble figuring out how to figure him into Nissa’s new life, so… we’ll see how that ends up working whenever I figure it out. Terlon is the mentor of The Shadow Raven, high steward of Roenor, and honorary uncle of Detren. When he was younger he wanted to be a historian – the most prestigious occupation in Roenor – but he gave it up and because a history tutor, which is how he came to meet Detren. Lucienne is a good friend of both Nissa and Detren, and one of the main side characters of The Shadow Raven. She’s also one of my personal favorites in the trilogy. She’s able to keep a level head even when Detren and Nissa are both declining, and help them through it, and I suppose she’s sort of a wise mentor character.
