I participated in NaNoWriMo this month, but I stopped prioritizing it about halfway through the month. I learned that The Dark War Trilogy doesn’t work well for NaNoWriMo–it’s too long and emotionally draining (in the case of The King’s Paladin, the MC is difficult to write because she thinks so differently from me)–so in the future I need to focus on a shorter, easier piece that I can get really excited for beforehand. Guys, I’m starting a tag. Allie should also get credit, because a lot of the questions are hers and she was the one who gave me the idea to make this a tag, so it’s actually more her tag and I’m just getting it started. It’s a music tag, because music is amazing and we love music. Now to the rules… which I suppose I get to make up.

Farewell to August

Farewell to August

I wrote about 24,500 words last month, out of my 45,000 goal. I don’t know how much of that went toward The Shadow Raven in the end, but it’s words toward something, at the very least, lol. There were a few days – including a couple in a row earlier this week – that I got a lot written of The Shadow Raven (1,500+), but overall it’s still slow going.

Thank you to Grace and Katherine of The Maidens of Green Gables for the tag! I’ve actually done the Liebster Award before, but it’ll be fun to do it again. :)

What is the Leibster Blog Award?

In short, it’s an award for small blogs that’s passed between bloggers to explore growing blogs. Those who accept the nomination answer a list of questions given to them by whoever nominated them, write a bit about their favorite blogger, nominate 5-11 other blogs that have fewer than 200 followers (mine might not all fit that criteria because I can’t see the follower count of some of them), and provide 10-11 random facts about themselves.
