NaNoWriMo Weeks 1-2 Update

NaNoWriMo Weeks 1-2 Update

*bangs head on desk* I have fallen so far off the rails with blogging this month. I’m sorry. I’ve been too absorbed in NaNoWriMo to actually… write about NaNoWriMo. So I’ve missed seven excerpts, an update, a poem, and a character interview. Aren’t I just doing fabulously? I plan on getting back on track from this post onward, and this time I’ll work harder at keeping up despite NaNoWriMo. Continue reading “NaNoWriMo Weeks 1-2 Update”

An Interview With Me

An Interview With Me

I got my sister, who goes by the screen name Siberia, to interview me today about my writing. I’ve interviewed myself before, but this one is more cohesive and more organic, I think, because she and I were able to play off of each other like I couldn’t with myself, lol. I hope you enjoy reading it. :) Continue reading “An Interview With Me”

Character Interview: Cor Claris

Character Interview: Cor Claris

If Tiberius is my favorite character from The Last Assassin, Cor is a close second. He’s basically Catessa’s nephew, and he’s so sweet and wise. ^-^ I think my favorite line of his is:

We can’t just leave them! They’re our family, not some casual friends we can leave when the going gets tough. You should never leave just because the going gets tough. When you become friends with someone it’s a promise that you’ll stick by them through thick and thin. How much more so when you make yourselves family?

He’s extremely wise for his age and he’s adorable and I just want to hug him every time he comes into the story. But anyway, on to his interview. Continue reading “Character Interview: Cor Claris”

Character Interview: Tiberius Alister

Character Interview: Tiberius Alister

Tiberius is a character from The Last Assassin and a fairly good friend of Catessa’s. He’s a pirate, as well as quite possibly my favorite character in the whole book. I hope you enjoy his interview. Continue reading “Character Interview: Tiberius Alister”

If I Had a Fandom…

If I Had a Fandom…

When I asked a friend of mine what I should write about on my blog, she suggested talking about what my response would be to a big fandom. This isn’t something I’m super interested in having, just a few dedicated fans would be fine, but it’s fun to think about and I think it’ll be fun to write about, too, so here goes. :)

The biggest thing that comes to mind with a big fandom, to me, is fanart. I love fanart. I love seeing it on Pinterest and stuff. And for that fanart to be focused on my books and characters, bringing to life visually things that I can’t because I don’t draw well? That would just be fabulous. I would Continue reading “If I Had a Fandom…”
