My Favorite Music

My Favorite Music

“Ariel,” you say, “This is a writing blog. What are you doing talking about music?”

I know, I know. But I also love music, so you’ll just have to put up with me talking about it for a post or two. This post is about some of my favorite songs and artists and why they’re my favorite.

The topic of this post came about from the sermon before an all-nighter I went to Friday night. They were talking about teens being Continue reading “My Favorite Music”

Weekly Writing Update – September 17-23, 2017

Weekly Writing Update – September 17-23, 2017

So, I’m going to start something new: A writing update every Saturday. Since this is the first one I’m pretty much playing it by ear, so we’ll see what this includes. :)

Sunday, September 17th – Word Count: 6,189

I wrote two blog posts that day, neither of which has gone up yet, and that was the day I renamed Alpine Writer to Scribes & Archers. What To Do When You Can’t

What To Do When You Can’t

When it seems like it’s an uphill climb. When you feel like you’re not getting anywhere. When you feel like you’re Continue reading “What To Do When You Can’t”

Love Is…

Love Is…

Tuesday night I went to bed at about 12:15 after lulling my baby sister to sleep, and a few things started running through my head. Some of these are things I’ve done, while others are things I’ve witnessed from others.

Love is when the position you’re in is horribly uncomfortable but the baby is comfortable and that’s what matters.

Love is when you’ve finally found a comfortable position and the baby’s happy, though your arm is quickly losing all feeling, Continue reading “Love Is…”

Life of a Homeschooled Teenage Writer

Life of a Homeschooled Teenage Writer

I’m a teenage home-schooled writer, and I know at least some of those who might be inclined to read my blog are as well, so I thought I’d share what joys and struggles I’ve found this brings, and then if you’d like you can share your own joys and struggles in the comments.

First off we have teenager. I’m in my mid-teens, which is annoying because I’m old enough to want to go places and not quite old enough to be able to get myself to those places, and since my mom is chronically ill and I have younger siblings it’s not a viable option Continue reading “Life of a Homeschooled Teenage Writer”
